Scholarships
Write about a Sikhi-related book you've read. Earn a scholarship to help pay your tuition.
A limited number of $500 scholarships are available to students actively enrolled at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution. Scholarships are given out upon acceptance of a written book review to be published on Niara.org.
Who is this for?
Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada may apply. Students may belong to any race, ethnicity, religious or cultural group. International students are encouraged to apply.
How does it work?
- Read a Sikhi-related book and apply using the form below. Plan on having this book with you to reference while you are writing your review.
- Once your application is submitted, expect a response within a week confirming your "place in line", along with a guide to submitting your book review. Scholarships are limited and given on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you don't qualify, you will be notified at this point of the application process before you submit your book review.
- Once you receive the submission guide, write an approximately 1000 word, original-work book review. Reviews written in ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ, English or French are accepted.
- Your book review will be published on Niara.org at the discretion of our editors and your scholarship will be awarded within 30 days.
